Here are a few photos from our tour on Floor 21: Social lounges – Each floor has a social lounge with a complete and stocked kitchen. “No matter what office you are in, they all look and feel the same.” “Our executives from other cities walked into the Indy tower offices and said ‘it feels just like my office at home!’” said Elizabeth Pinkham, Executive Vice President of Global Real Estate. Floor 21 was redesigned with the new corporate design standards that are exhibited across all Salesforce offices. Prior to the press conference on Saturday, local media were invited to tour two floors of the building. Perhaps in registry of 64 bit Windows there are also two different paths for 32 bit and 64 bit applications. So at least the application path must be adapted. As far as I know there is C:\Program Files for 64 bit applications and C:\Program Files (x86) for 32 bit applications. However, the paths of the keys will be maybe the same, just the installation folder of 32 bit UltraCompare is surely not the same on a 64 bit Windows than on a 32 bit Windows. Perhaps another 64 bit Windows user who has installed UltraEdit and UltraCompare can take a look into the registry. So I don't know which registry keys must be set for 64 bit Windows. I don't have any computer running a 64 bit Windows. I posted the registry keys for 32 bit versions of Windows. Nothing on this topic was about 64 bit version of Windows Vista. AWS DMS just got one step further in getting easier / more efficient to use by becoming serverless. Similarly, Google Cloud Database Migration Service allows users to migrate their databases to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and has had a serverless option since 2020.ĭidier Durand, a principalarchitect - AWS Mainframe Modernization service, stated in a LinkedIn post:ĭata migration is a key tool of any migration project, including the mainframe. For instance, Azure Database Migration Service provides a similar set of features as AWS DMS and enables seamless migration of on-premises databases to Azure. In addition, during the replication process, AWS DMS uses this range to scale up and down based on CPU utilization, connections, and available memory.ĪWS competitors Microsoft and Google also offer managed database migration services. Note that the minimum DCU setting is optional since AWS DMS Serverless determines the minimum DCU based on assessing the replication workload. The critical aspect of DMS is that when setting DMS Serverless, users can, in the capacity section, set the range for the required capacity to perform replication by defining the minimum and maximum DCU (DMS capacity units). You can use AWS DMS Serverless to migrate databases and help to build modern data strategies by synchronizing ongoing data replications into data lakes (e.g., Amazon S3) or data warehouses (e.g., Amazon Redshift) from multiple, perhaps disparate data sources. The company will add more in future versions.ĭonnie Prakoso, a principal developer advocate at AWS, outlines a few possible use cases for DMS Serverless in an AWS blog post: As for targets, it supports various databases and analytics services such as Amazon Aurora, Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Redshift, and Amazon DynamoDB. The new serverless option simplifies the process of determining the necessary compute resources and managing the operational tasks required for the migrations - eliminating the need for manual guesswork by offering automatic capacity provisioning, scaling, and optimization of migrations.ĭMS Serverless supports Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle as data sources. It was launched for the first time in 2016. It automatically sets up, scales, and manages migration resources to make database migrations easier and more cost-effective.ĭMS is a fully-managed service provided by the company that enables seamless and efficient migration of databases from various sources to AWS. AWS recently announced a new option in its Database Migration Service (DMS) called serverless.
